TM Satellite Scenes

The following information is valid for each satellite image listed in the table below:
data: Landsat 5 Thematic Mapper Satellite Scenes
geographic location: Geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) describe the center of a scene. Each scene encircles an area of 185 km * 185 km. Each scene has 7 spectral bands (red/1, green/2, blue/3 of visible light, near infrared/4, two different bands of short wave infrared/5&7, thermal infrared/6).
The storage units are 9 track tapes (6250 bpi), each scene needs 300 MByte.
Path, Row: The World- Reference- System of satellite trajectories are characterized unambiguously through these two parameters. (There are general maps showing satellite trajectories.)
Acq.- Date (acquisition date): date of scene recording
Latitude, Longitude: geographical location of scene center, area extends approximately 90 km around central coordinates
Elevation, Azimuth: elevation and azimuth at date and time of acquisition
