Cooperating Universities

International cooperation by signed contracts and agreements

In recent years, specific contracts and agreements have been signed, re-signed and implemented:

(1) Universities:

Argentina:

Bolivia:

Chile:

Among all partner universities in the host countries, the Universidad Católica del Norte based in Antofagasta plays an outstanding role due to its overwhelming logistical and personal support for the SFB and its subprojects. Without this support over more than 15 years no successful fieldwork by SFB projects would have been possible. Of late, the Universidad de Concepción is claiming a similar position at the southern SFB traverse due to the transfer of some SFB subproject activities from the North to the South.

(2) National Geological Surveys

(3) Hydrocarbon industry

(4) Mining industry
